Process Server Registration-Bond Filing

The registration of a process server is required when any person makes more than 10 services of process within California during one calendar year.

To register as a process server, each applicant must submit the following information:

- Two Original Certificate of Registration forms.

- A PHOTO for mandatory photo ID with the following dimensions (1 1/8" x 1 3/8").

- Completed Live Scan Service Form (Available at County Clerk's Office).

- Original and 1 copy of a $2,000.00 PROCESS SERVER BOND.

         The bond must show a starting and ending date based on a 2 year term.

Note: If corporation or partnership, employees must also register if they expect to serve 10 or more times annually and are to be compensated.

If corporation or partnership is being registered, the photo ID box will bear the County Seal rather than the individual's picture.
